Shufflemaster question
Anyone know where I can get one of these things. I asked the guy that was servicing one at my local B&M and he said that as far as he knows the company only leases them. Something about high upkeep. I’m thinking that they need upkeep when run 24/7 but my weekly game shouldn’t be a problem. Anybody know where I can get my hands on one? (Yes I checked Ebay) Thanks |

Re: Shufflemaster question
Hire a dealer, pay him $30 / hr, and you are *still* saving money. (go ahread- do the math- we'll wait here)

Re: Shufflemaster question
You can find some pretty good shufflers, but they are expensive. It is not worth doing for a home game.

Re: Shufflemaster question
Think about this... hand shuffling causes you to be more comfortable with cards, which leads to faster pitching and cleaner boards. Once you get it down, hand shuffling takes hardly any time at all, and if you get two decks and have someone else do it, it takes zero time. Less time than operating a machine. Hand shuffling = +EV.

Re: Shufflemaster question
Obv the Op didn't realize the machines are 16k. By the way in my home the problem with dealing is with all the donks that I invite to play. They complain about the plastic (Kem) cards. A tell for someone who is complete garbage at poker is when they say while playing with (Kem) cards that the next time I play I am going to bring you some real cards.

Re: Shufflemaster question
Wow. I've never had anybody complain about plastic cards. Even the bad players appreciate how much nicer they are.

Wow. I've never had anybody complain about plastic cards. Even the bad players appreciate how much nicer they are. [/ QUOTE ] Really?? I would say that 5% of the good players and 40-50% of the bad/annoying players at my game do not like them. People always say stuff like "They are too hard to shuffle." WTF? learn to shuffle, idiot. |
