My friend has waited 3 weeks for money wire transferred to the Rio

So, yeah, is this normal? He's getting there this Wednesday and he's kind of freaking out (understandably).

He's called the Rio many times and he says he just gets transferred numerous times and hung up on. He tells me he has a lot of phone numbers and email addresses but none of them are getting him anywhere. He does not have a Players Card, if this matters (he was told his e-mail was denied because it "wasn't registered")

Any insight/suggestions/contact people would be greatly appreciated as he's coming in from Canada and is very worried.

I had a problem with a wire going out of the Rio coming back to me. After dealing with a few people who had no clue what they were doing, I spoke to a woman named Sam at the main Rio cage who was extremely helpful and got everything cleared up and the money in my account within an hour. Tell him to call, ask for the main cage, and ask for Sam. If he wired it through the WSOP versus the main Rio cage, she probably has nothing to do with that however.

I had a massive problem wiring money on May 20th for the June 16th event, when I came by on June 15th they said they hadn't received my wire and it took over 2 hours to sort out (they finally found it).

Grrr.

I wired my $$$ to the Rio main cage, called the next day, and they had it.

I called the Rio before wiring and they faxed me instructions on wiring to the main cage.

Did your friend wire to the main cage or wsop cashier?

Call 702-777-7777, ask for main cage and go from there.

Yeah, it is for real their phone number, and I betcha they paid big bucks to get that phone number as well.
