Default Poker Bonuses == Disguised Rake Back

I've haven't paid much attention to poker bonuses until recently.

100% deposit bonus at ActionPoker - $2500 max.

However, for example on a $100 bonus you must earn 1190pts. 1 pt = $0.10 in rake (or entry fees) *you paid*. So basically after paying $119 in rake you get back $100. And you get only 50 days to do it.

Are most poker deposit/reload bonuses nothing more than disguised limited term rakeback offers?

Glad I didn't take the max, $2500 bonus sounds nice until you realize it would be absolutely impossible to pay more than $2500 in rake on a $2500 bankroll in less than 50 days; at least at the stakes I play (or even the stakes available at ActionPoker).

Btw, I did a little homework, seems like bonus whores really dislikes action poker. In their cons they stated that their betting code is flawed, yikes. Seems like there's no traffic either.

Before the US crackdown, this used to be my only network I would regularly play on. Full of really really bad Canadian players. A site on their network had constant reloads and after rakeback, it ended up being somewhere around 110% rakeback on a network with really bad players.

Then they all went away.
