this spot sucks, i had the same situation today and lost 300 on a rag flop, i check raised the flop, he called, then it went check check and he bet river about half pot and had KK, guess i couldve folded the river...

A flop raise pretty much pot commits you here, but that's okay. A 25/15 is probably 3betting a bunch more stuff than AA/KK. Yes, it will fold out AKish hands, but you aren't realistically stacking them anyways, and you *know* an ace is coming on the turn if you just call.
As played, I'm a bit torn on the river. His bet sizing looks a lot more like a blocker with JJ than it does a value bet with Ax. I'd probably make the donkey call on the hunch villain holds 99-JJ here. |
