Sniglet - at a guess, I'd bet half the people here don't know the origins. It means "Funny made up words" basically. It's from an old HBO show Not Necessarily The News; it was such a popular segment that they took submissions via mail from fans and published several collections.
clandestine - "conducted with secrecy" says m-w.com. A spy might conduct a clandestine operation, basically. |
