50NL Is He Value Betting the River?
Villain seemed like a pretty good. I've seen him raise with 44 on CO after 2 limps so and his stats were 30/16 after 110 hands so I could see him raising any PP and smaller suited connectors from UTG. Also he has c-betted 88% of the time so I felt something was up when he check called the flop.

Re: 50NL Is He Value Betting the River?
I think the river is close but at this level is likely a call. I also like a bet on the turn because you'll get a call from hands like 89 and 87 (although checking the turn is good if you think he'll check-raise you with those hands on the turn).
But since the flush missed on the river and you look weak, I think the river is a call. |

Fold preflop. As played, bet turn and check behind river.

3-bet preflop. Or fold. As played, bet turn and re-evaluate river. [/ QUOTE ] |

Re: 50NL Is He Value Betting the River?
as played you basically have to call the river. You should have bet the turn, as the only hands he might be doing this are draws or monsters, leaning heavily towards a draw. Pairs 99-QQ are a big part too - depending on how big, I'd say if you chk behind it's to induce something on the river -- because he'll fold 'em to the second barrel usually.
If he's any good, and he's been betting c-betting a lot, he'll continue c-betting with a monster. So he probably doesn't. You've got the blocker on his most likely monster too. |

Re: 50NL Is He Value Betting the River?
I fold preflop as well. He might like the king flop and be planning on check raising you on the turn with aces, and now that you checked he is betting out - he could be value betting jacks, he could be doing anything in this spot. If you think the hand is worth playing preflop I don't see how you can't call after that action.

Re: 50NL Is He Value Betting the River?
I like how you played up until the river.
I prefer a check on the turn myself as he may be setting you up for a c/r as that check call is suspicious and if he has a lower pair such as qq-99 then he has only 2 outs and is more likely to call a river bet. I would insta call river, 3-1 with flush draw not hitting makes it mandatory for me. |
