Re: another river
Well, like the last one, I think the first part of what you should do is obvious. I guess you have to call once you check and either lose to 99/AK or chop/beat KQ.

Re: another river
I'd check call river and I'm hard pressed to find any alternative river line that makes sense given the action.

Re: another river
Without a better idea of how good he is, I c/c.
I b/f versus most players. |

Re: another river
easiest c/f ever now that you kept the pot so small.
id like a fold on the flop even more. were you hoping for an A? or a Q? even a K could have problems for you. folding. |

Re: another river
I think this is a good spot to check/call. A check might get him to take a shot at it with 99, 77, KQ, etc. Otherwise, you're either getting raised, or probably not getting paid off anyway.

Re: another river
cant imagine a good player taking a shot here frequently with 77 or 99 on the river. i could see them bet-folding the turn with those hands or checking and then checking that river and praying. but that Q touches many reasonable hands bb could call the flop with so if pf raiser is genuinely good as we've been told he will recognize that and resist betting for value or bluffing hands like 99 or 77 here.
the pot is 5 bbs if pf raiser bets the river. a call here will not show a profit. sometimes the pot will be split and frequently bb will lose. this is a c/f on the river. what's more important is folding the flop. bb is getting 7-1 but against a good player's early position open raise range all his outs are dirty and the reverse implied odds (and being oop factoring into this pretty heavily) of hitting a bad card are significant. bb cant continue if pf raiser bets the turn so this is a one shot call. it's a weird spot and the thinking is counterintuitive, but folding the flop is the smartest play. |
