Default 25NL - JJ, Ugh!

What do you think of this, without any reads?
I can't just fold the flop, can I? Should I throw in a raise?
After I called the flop and checked the turn, I figured I had caught him trying to steal the pot, so I bet hoping to take it down. But then he raises all-in, [censored]! What should I do different?

I like a check behind on the turn, call a non spade river brick, fold to a river K/Q, call if another ace hit river.

With no reads its hard to give credit. MP is midstack and hasnt capped off, I would take that as a very real possibility that he is not good enough to fold to any moves. He has an ace here often. So I think I dislike the way you played this hand.

op, what is the purpose of you turn bet?

it's clearly not for value, because that wouldn't make much sense.

if you're bluffing, what better hands are you trying to fold?

check turn.

betting for information is too expensive! i check and call a smallish riverbet, fold to a bigger one.
