BJ machines that return over 100%??
heres a copy and paste on another post i made in this forum on someone elses post. find it very very hard to believe its really paying the correct amount on BJ and dealing the cards randomly and fairly as in wendover NV. there even if u split 2 aces and get a face card it treats it as a BJ and u get paid 3 to 2 just like on BJ. ive been told the BJ machines in wendover NV return over 100% and i used to play there alot before i moved outta the area. am wondering if any players in the wendover NV area know if those machines exist still? they also had some of them in reno at the atlantis and cal neva. certianly aint no bj machines in vegas paying 100% though.
would really like to hear from someone whose played BJ machines returning over 100% and knows how they work. would like their opinion of the machines in reno and wendover NV. |

Re: BJ machines that return over 100%??
Just the split aces rule will not be enough to make this a +EV game. Since you can't count the cards it's just a little bit better than perfect strategy with favorable rules

ur forgetting slot comps and cashback, and BJ is only about 2 tenth of a percent in the houses favor anyway.

Re: BJ machines that return over 100%??
Most BJ machines I have seen pay 2-for-1 on blackjacks, which is another way of saying 1-to-1. These games have a substantial house advantage.

[/ QUOTE ] Maybe for you but NOT for the MAJORITY of blackjack players. .2 is a HORRIBLE estimate of the House Advantage for the Majority of blackjack players. If you can honestly say you dont' have a good counting system memorized or at least have perfect strategy memorized then I would put it at about 5% or worse for most tourists. They would be better off making field bets or roulette bets. If they were really savy they could play blackjack for dummies. Baccarat. |

Re: BJ machines that return over 100%??
govman's got it right. You're calculating "perfect" play. I wouldn't hesitate to put in a bank of 21 machines that paid out 100.2% for perfect play -- and I'd probably maintain a 5-7% hold.
Hint #1: Most people don't play perfect. Hint #2: There are wagering limits. Let's say I set wagering from $1-12, and on a full table you can get 125 hands an hour. That's a max handle of $1500 an hour, for an earning of $3 an hour. If you consider free drinks to be added revenue -- I would give a 90%+ chance that you're mistaken. If you're one of the few who can pull it off, I'd say Welcome to the game . You can sit and play all day long. [censored] -- if I hired a shill, I'd have to pay minimum wage plus benefits -- you're cheaper. |
