I would lead and 3-bet all-in.

Re: $27 Flopped 2nd Pair and 2nd nut flush draw
I bet the flop to "see where I'm at" and hopefully get to see a turn card if they don't fold. If I'm reraised I'm in a tough spot as I have tons of outs but I probably am a dog here and am suddenly at a loss. This seems like a hand I play pretty passivly (after the flop bet) and as such lose chips in on average. Say we lead out and get reraised, then what do you do?
This the type of hand I am sure I misplay constantly. |

If you lead out and get reraised, you push!

Yes. I'm a leading out hoping to get raised here.

Re: $27 Flopped 2nd Pair and 2nd nut flush draw
Say you lead the flop for 120 and get called by two players in position. The turn comes a blank (three of hearts or something). Then what? There's 510 in the pot and you have 1350. The lead/3-bet doesn't seem as enticing with only one card to come. Check-raise all in for more FE? Check and call a bet that gives you odds? The latter is what I would probably do, but I don't feel all that confident that it's the best play.
Nor does any of that reference turn cards that could help opponents' hands. |

Either raise all in or raise to about 400 in your current situation

i agree with leading the flop but getting all my money in on a flush draw so early in the tournament does not like the best idea. please explain why you think it would be [/ QUOTE ] First, note that you also have a pair of queens. 1) You may have the best hand here, if villain has a flush draw, JT, or wants to get fancy w/ an underpair. 2) If you lead and are raised, there will be a ton of chips out there, chips you would love to have right now. 3) You push while you have plenty of fold equity. 4) There are only two likely hands that scare you, KQ and 55. Even against those you have up to nine flush outs twice, minus villain's redraws to a boat. 5) If someone calls w/ AK/KJ/whatever, you have as many as 14 outs twice, making it basically a race at this point. So if villain will fold even a third of the time, and you win half the time when he calls, you win the pot two-thirds of the time. That's crazy +EV, especially when you factor in the dead chips. 6) 3-betting all-in on the flop avoids a tough turn spot, where I'm still not sure what I'd do. |
