Re: bad call on the flop?
I think you played it fine. I'd consider open pushing the flop too. Either way, nice hand.

Re: bad call on the flop?
Tx, looking at it now, seems like the best move, since i decided i would call a flp bet anyway.

Re: bad call on the flop?
I think it would help others analyse if you could explain your thought process throughout the hand. It would also help you a lot if you could explain why you made the moves you did.

Re: bad call on the flop?
I like it.
And by "it" I mean the river card because it gave you a straight and won you a big pot. Otherwise, I suppose this is just a silly reverse villain is hero post. |

Re: bad call on the flop?
After reveiwing the hand, I have a couple of explanations as to why I wasnt the open raiser Preflp and flp. One explanation I have is that we played HU for about 90 minutes and though I doubled thru early on, he was felting me quick. I guess my logic was: this hand may be my best chance to bounce back, yet instead of pushing, I was still in defensive mode from getting my A-- kicked. The other explanation:
I didnt belive I was facing a pair of aces, and I was correct. I did believe he was capitalizing on my weak play late in the game as I moved closer to the felt, so I didnt give him much credit for a hand preflp. I guess I chk called to keep him as the aggressor thinking I was likely ahead and that he might dump his hand to any bet. He was able to get away from so many hands earlier when I was ahead, that I believed if I CR, he folds. |

Re: bad call on the flop?
First off why are you playing heads up against this guy? You're beat by ANY Ace, which after the three bet cold call he MIGHT have an ace so essentially you're drawing to 6 or a backdoor on a miracle card where you really don't have the implied odds for 6 outs anyways. Miraculous run out I'm sure he wasnt too happy but I think since after this hand he still had yo covered 3-1 He won it back pretty quickly if you didn't hit and run
