Default Odd preflop action against a donkey

Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $1/$2 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

Hero (SB): $343.90
BB: $211.50
UTG: $194.40
MP: $172.10
CO: $116.85
BTN: $103.00

Reads: <font color="blue">Villain is 40 / 30 / 1.5 over about 30 hands and seems pretty bad. Effective stacks only 55BB. The preflop line smells of a high pocket, but I thought mid pockets and AK were possible as well. Is this an easy turn fold? Does anyone find a fold before the turn?</font>

So we're hoping he's overplaying AK or just randomly spewing? The 1.5 agression made me think that maybe a call was bad, but the sample was so small I wasn't sure I could depend on it.

There is no way you can put him on JJ+ only. Call, sucks you lost.

Hmm...I don't think this is an "easy" call. It seems pretty close to me. If I had a more solid sample from this guy I'd lean towards fold, but treating him as an unknown, I think calling is right.

FWIW, I need his range to include mid-pairs, AK, or a significant amount of random air to make this a good call.

We are getting 2:1, and if we are behind, we are essentially drawing dead. Therefore, there needs to be greater than ~66% chance this his range includes more than just JJ+. This MUST be the case...

I would like to make a comment that in my experience when someone limps and reraises they most often have a monster hand preflop, even if the reraise is a minimum.

Against this villain its an easy call, but i guess he had aces otherwise u wouldnt post the hand [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
