I've been a big fan of Dan John's simple approach for a long time. HERE is a 97-page free book from his website with a great simple beginner strength program. The rest of his website is very good as well, as are his articles on t-nation.

Bump - If you've never read his stuff, you should take a look at some of his articles under the Old Stuff section of the site and his Get Up Newsletter archives have some great reads too.

all of the links were dead when i tried...dan john is awesome, great speaker, i suggest downloading his audio interviews as well, very entertaining/motivating guy...

The link is right. I printed it the other day and it was up when I posted it, but his site seems to be down this morning. Hopefully he'll get it back up soon.
