I am about to play in a small pure bounty tournament in a couple of hours.
I hadn't heard of these pure bounty tournaments before today but basically what it means is that everytime you knock somebody out of the tournament you win your buy in back(not including the rake). Don't know if this helps but the blinds go up every 10 minutes, you start with 1500 in chips and it's unlimited rebuys for the first hour, no add ons. If any of you play in this kind of tournaments or you are just good at adjusting to different tournament cirumstances any advice on how to play this kind of tournaments would be much appreciated. Thanks |

Haha seems like a fun donkament.
I think you should really try to be in alot of pots with speculative hands, hope to hit and score ! |

So if you knock someone out, you get 1 BuyIn back. Where does the money from the rebuys go? The more rebuys I make, the bigger the bounty on me?
Not sure I understand the format. |

He didn't mention rebuys (but I do not know exactly the tourneys he is refering to) and if there are no rebuys I took the post to mean that there is no prizepool (ie no additional money for first) but rather the prize pool is paid out with 100% bounties. It would be REALLY -ev to rebuy in a tournament with this structure.
If that is how it works it is a really cool idea for a tourney. I would think that taking -ev gambles early on so that you can cover more people has to be +ev in tourneys like this |

There are no pay outs for finishing 1st 2nd and so on. Just for knocking someone out. By the way I will be playing the tournament on bet365 from the prima network.
