Default 2/4 - AQ middle pair in 3bet pot

Villain is 18/16

Thoughts on all streets appreciated. On the river I thought that it was kind of strange how he could have a hand that wasn't strong enough to bet on the flop but was strong enough to value bet big on the river. On the other hand I look very weak with my line. Then again he is also a nit, and probably not calling my pf 3bet super looose.

You only beat a bluff and I could see AK checking the flop. So I'd fold.

easy fold...the only hands you beat are TT/AJ and he wouldnt be betting those for value.

i would have led 2/3 pot at him on the flop instead of checking.

If he is a nit I think you have to fold.

How are the cash games going so far? When did you start?

i mix it up here between leading for 2/3 and checking the flop, so i don't really mind how you played it. Turn is pretty standard, but the river is a pretty easy fold, especially against a nit

I did fold. It's a little bit frustrating because if he's good he has to know that after my check on the turn there is almost no way that I'm strong, but without a history I probably don't have to worry about this too much.

I switched to cash maybe 3 months ago and it has been going very well. I started out practicing at 1/2 and within about a month had moved up to 2/4-5/10 and have been doing well.
