Default Would this work for a online poker room?

I've been thinking a little bit lately about how popular this would be. Probably not at all, but just wanted to throw it out there.

Would anyone like it if you had to click a button or move your mouse over your cards to see them? For example, the cards are face down but when you click a button the cards slide up and you see the corners of them like you would in a B+M cardroom. Maybe you could even change how you look at your cards.

Just curious if anyone else would enjoy this feature or not?

Brad

Worst idea ever.

How often would your timer expire and you are autofolded while multitabling?

True Poker has something kind of like this. You can click and put your cards down after they are dealt. Then you can click and look at them again. Before they allowed multiple tables the cards would stay down. I thought it was cool but I can see how if you are playing more than 1 table it wont work.

around here you won't get to many positive responses to this idea because most 2+2'ers just want to get the hands in as fast as possible. They multi-table....and get annoyed if the software deals the hands too slowly.

A more 'realistic' type of 'live poker' feel like this would just slow the game down a little bit.

If this is what you are looking for though then I do think TruePoker.com is decent for this.
The little 'cards-up and cards-down' stuff and little actions by the various avatars actually DO vaguely have the feel of being in a live poker-room imo.
Players react and move when they lose, the dealer speaks (and the other avatars can have vocal reactions too).
It's kind of cute but really is just a gimmick to me. I just want to play as many hands as possible and unfortunately, the board-cards are WAY too small and it's kind of difficult to multi-table there.

It was crashing out on me a lot anyway.
But I have a better connection now that Verizon-wireless has broadband in Memphis...so I might give it a try again just for kicks.
Nice freerolls for high-ish volume players (and I wouldn't mind winning the Bahamas cruise at 60k true-points).

Default Truepoker and \"lifting your cards\"

The accomodation for multiple table players was precisely why we made "pick up your cards" optional, rather than mandatory.

You can still do it for sending a false tell of course.

How about when opponent folds or at showdown, you could click & show one card instead of both. I wouldn't mind that.
