Hand 1 is okay. Sometimes he calls and you are crushed, sometimes he calls and you have live cards and most of the time he folds because the flop missed him.

Hand 2 is spew at NL$100. Probably works great at NL$400 and higher though. No one ever checks with an A on the river and no one ever folds a K. He's not betting that river with Q high. I agree that a check raise on the river is the only way you are winning the pot, but trying to win every pot isn't a good long term goal.

Hand 1 is fine as long as you do it not too frequently & when you have the correct image.

Hand 2 is ok. i suspect it EV neutral a small -ev but it's not horrible in any way.

Hand 1 is fine sometimes, and I will make these shoves when there is some history for sure. While most posters here know this (very basic), it is worth mentioning for newer players that this is far better to do with AQ/AK than with 66/88. If the reason isn't obvious, you really need to think about it because it is very important.

Hand 2 is good against value-bet junkies like me because I will be VBing a queen here almost always. If 4_2_it says it is no good against most NL100 players, I believe him.

I like hand 1 if he 3bets light. I do it some of the time myself.

I think hand 2 is pretty spewy. I don't think he has a counterfeited pair enough to make this worth it.
