Default 100NL AJ Facing River Push

Villian is an 18/5/2.5 player over 1200 hands. This really smelled like a big bluff to me but the possibliity of 44,22,KJs,AA,KK and a terribly played AK remain. Thoguhts on how this hand played out?

Not sure how this line is a bluff, and that's the only thing you beat. Pretty easy fold to me. If I had to guess, he has 44.

I think you played it fine. I might check the turn behind and call a bet on the river.

I don't think he's bluffing here very often because you've shown a lot of strength by betting the flop and turn.

What would you have done on the river had he checked to you?

His river push makes me think that he was afraid you wouldn't bet. I think he wants to be called here, and I can't think of any hands that want to be called here that you beat.

I thinkit is a good fold and well played on each street IMO. I might not always raise AJs in this situation. I may prefer a limp especially with the UTG limper which tends to make me play a little slower.

Looks good. I don't see much that you beat, other than a bluff. He's slowplaying a monster or just hit KJ most of the time.

Easy fold.

On a drawless board, I check the turn for pot control and call river. Then again, I've been criticized for not value betting enough.

KJ seems highly. A bluff doesn't seem all that likely since the river card really doesn't complete anything.

If he's seen you folding alot maybe he is trying to push you off a hand, but I doubt it. I would note this play though to see if he tries it again.

Preflop I don't mind a raise on the button with AJs if the game isn't too tough which I assume it isn't.

I don't think he has AA or KK but the other hands you mentioned are probable. I don't think this is a bluff. You have bet every street and now he is trying to get paid off thinking you will not bet the river. Good fold, you played this fine.
