50NL A-K on a suited board
villain was 26/6/1 through 50 hands. I really had no idea what I was doing in this hand. Should I just have folded flop? Comments on all streets appreciated.

Re: 50NL A-K on a suited board
Preflop: fine
Flop: Ok, the cb is fine with the 2nd nut draw. I think a 3bet allin isn't terrible on this flop, I would rather know where the Ad is but, all you are really scared of is AdQx. He could have 22 or 88 but I don't like his raise with those hands. I think a call here is fine as well. Turn: I don't like putting him in here. If you were going to do it you should do it on the flop when you have 2 shots to win. He isn't folding a hand he is getting 2+-1 on money that he has played this way, what are you representing here QQ? why would QQ raise here? It would probably call and let him push the river. You are getting close to the right odds to draw at the flush by just calling his $10 bet, but you could be drawing dead. I don't see how you can fold for $10 though so I probably call. River: If you just call the turn, you fold to his push on the river or check behind him. He isn't folding a Q. If the river is a diamond you get it whatever is left in. |

Re: 50NL A-K on a suited board
Push the flop or fold IMO. I fold here because I think the SB has paired with the Ad. Also the flop bet is too big I think, I usually bet a monotone flop ~ 1/2 to 2/3rds max even when I have hit my flush, because it charges the nut flushes enough and it can keep a TPGK in the pot or even get a raise, in which case you can reraise big or push and get some extra money in the pot. So usually I'm putting in $4-5 on the flop. Looking at all the calls, you may want to pay attention to MP2 or even CO calling range a bit. If they are calling your raises too much light then charge them more preflop, ~ 6BB. That way you charge them more to play their speculative hands.
