leasing 2+ yr old sports car vs buying and selling 1 yr later
What would cost the least? Leasing a 2+ year old sports car or luxury car (corvette, lamborghini, viper, etc) or buying it and selling it 1 year later?

Re: leasing 2+ yr old sports car vs buying and selling 1 yr later
Dunno about the EV but the variance is going to be much higher on the buy/sell compared to the lease. And if you are budgeting somewhat carefully, it's a lot easier to calculate the one year cost of leasing in advance.
But you are talking about driving a Lamborghini or whatever for a year. Worrying about the difference in cost between buying or leasing seems kind of silly. Edit to add: if you are asking this question, the short answer is that you should lease. |

if you buy, you pay sales tax. you don't get it back when you sell.
leasing is much easier, and likely not much more expensive, if at all. |

I imagine leasing is the way to go. Check out leasebusters.com, pretty cool site, good deals.

Doesn't it depend on the lease deal? Why don't you give us some example prices.
And I've always thought that you have to pay sales tax when you lease. Think about it, if the lease company has to pay sales tax it's going to build it into the lease price. It might be state dependent, in AZ you can buy used cars without paying sales tax if you buy from a private party. |

[/ QUOTE ] How bout you actually talk to the dealers, get prices, and figure some things out or at least provide numbers so people could do basic math for you? And what's with the corvette(50k), viper(90k), lambo(200+++k) selection? Are you just wasting people's time with an irrelevant wet dream? J |
