I favour a 'never enter a pot first without raising' style of play. However, I've recently entered a tournament league that has a very fast structure. This means you can generally only see cheap flops in the first blind level. In subsequent levels, you're struggling to keep your M above 10.
The pressure to accumulate chips makes me think I should be seeing a lot more flops early. Should I abandon my 'never limp' philosophy for the first blind level? Is there something to be said for dropping it in later levels too? Many thanks in advance. |

[ QUOTE ]
'never enter a pot first without raising' [/ QUOTE ] Sorry I can't specifically answer your question, but saying to "always" or "never" do something in poker is almost always a mistake in and of itself. (I realize there are notable exceptions, like "never fold aces preflop.") I don't mean to sound like a dick, just my opinion. |
