100-200 and 200-400 hu Q
What is your range of opening the button? Range of 3 betting the the button raise? Range of calling the BB?
This is just vs a standard hu 200-400 and 100-200 player.....I know that theres no proven hand range but what do the people in the so called thinktank do? Im just asking this because I think HU limit is a very cool game and want to stop chunking off money to good players. |

Interesting. I haven't seen that one before. Particularly the recommendation to limp first in early position with TT and JJ. Solid.

[/ QUOTE ] this is a good question in light of the hoss thread. i dont understand how it could possibly be mathematically correct to consistently be 3betting k2o, etc. Would like to know how hoss' 'math' measures up to the math in stox's book, for example (in which he recommends a far tighter range of basic guidelines, which he says were derived from much research, sims, etc). obviously it is correct to deviate in many situations (as stox states), but it seems, according to the other thread, that hoss doesnt merely deviate- he generally plays w/ extremely loose pre flop raising standards. i dont know hoss, and am just going by the info in the other thread, but am definitely very curious about how such a style could be optimal, and perhaps superior to a more traditional style as espoused by stox. thoughts?? |

Re: 100-200 and 200-400 hu Q
as the jesus graph states you should only be raising TT+ and AJs+. A hand like pocket 9s is very vulnerable to overcards and you should only call to see what happens on the flop.
