Re: Playing vs. a Maniac
Hand well played. If you think that Villain is going to call your shove then shove but I find that keeping them in the hand with a good 2 pair is better. If you shove you cant let him hang himself by shoving a blank river.

Re: Playing vs. a Maniac
his vpip is ridiculous, but the raise % isn't, so i'm not feeling this pf 3bet. anyway, i would just push the turn.

Re: Playing vs. a Maniac
Ok, I'm confused by preflop. You hate minraises. Minraises are gay. So you decide to minraise him. What?

I just call preflop. Postflop looks well-played to me.

Re: Playing vs. a Maniac
If your going to re-raise do a decent one, make it 2.
Tbh I fold the flop here unless you have seen him donk betting with nothing before. If your going to raise that big on the turn might as well push. Despite your huge odds, I am not against a fold. Are you seriously ever going to be ahead. I really doubt it. |

A minraise would be to .75cents. I'd make it $1.50 though. [/ QUOTE ] There's only two reasons to raise preflop in this situation; trying to take the pot down now, or setting up a profitable cbet. I don't like it against an 80/20, but if we're going to raise, a pot sized raise would be $1.85 and we'll have to do a lot better than that. I'd say $2.25. |

Re: Playing vs. a Maniac
$1.75 raise is fine. 3.5x original raise.
