Pot odds
First of all, hi to everyone.
Ok here's my questions: I know it has already been discussed but I found like 3 differents answers. Lets take an example : I have a flush draw on the flop. I know I have 9 outs to hit my flush on a 47 cards deck. so that's 19%. 1 time i'll win and 4 time i'll loose. But there's a river card, so that's making 36% of chance of hitting my flush. 1 time i'll win while 2 times i'll loose. Let's say the guy pu 50$ on a 100$ pot, should I call? Im I taking the 19% or the 36% for the pot odds. Because on that exemaple, I should not call if it's 19% but I should if i'm taking the 36% since it's making 33%(50/150). Thx for the response |

Re: Pot odds
thats why people often semibluff push with their FD's, they have fold equity and if they get called they are rarely ever worse than a 2:1 dog. Just calling is usually bad, but if you have position against a weak opp who might check the turn then calling isnt horrible i guess.

Re: Pot odds
Well, if its after the flop you have a 36% chance of hitting it on the turn OR river. Once the turn card comes, if it didnt hit you, you are now down to the 18-19% range. Again, that 36% after the flop is saying it will come 36% of the time on the turn or river
