incidence of vegas rental scams?

Has anybody heard of say, finding a short-term place on craigslist, VIEWING the apartment and meeting the "agent", putting down deposit and/or 1st month, only to go back the next day and you've been totally scammed?

Or anything in between, such as sending a deposit before viewing, etc.

Just wondering about the incidence of such scams, as I haven't heard of any for Vegas but would imagine they would be happening.
