Final Pot: $7.20 the BB re-raise on the turn made me suspicious that he might might have the higher full house, so i just called. Good cautiousness? then i felt like on the river was trying to check-raise me, so i just checked to play it safe. Good? |

Re: .02/.05 plo8
I think BB has 23 for low and at best something full of aces, but not a better boat. If he had a bigger boat he would have been smart to go for the turn checkraise - betting so small on the turn probably isn't his best pulling move with a bigger boat, it is probably designed to get the most money in the pot without losing competition. I think his reraise is just testing you to make sure you have a solid high instead of a non-nut low. As played on the river I probably check behind as well, anything calling a decent bet here is either chopping or scooping - less likely but possibly quartering you. This could all be way off base as it's a $5 Max table, but in that case I would think he would be more likely to come out firing big with a bigger boat on the turn.

Re: .02/.05 plo8
Tough spot, reads are the only real way to differentiate this.
Were you ever going to fold the river though with $5 left? If not, push instead of calling. I think call-fold is a bad line at these stakes, and if you're going to do call-call then his worse hands are getting off cheap while he punishes you when you're beat. You've got a low draw against the full and if he's just got trip aces you're sitting pretty. If he has 23xx where x is not a 4,6 then you're freerolling him. Unless you have some kind of read, given the fact that you really can't fold a river I'd push the turn here. |
