turn raise by the weak-tighty
10-20 at the muck. Pretty bad table in general.
Button is a young guy who plays a mostly tag game, but he has an odd streak of weak-tight in him and I've seen him make some pretty bad folds. He seems like the kind of guy that hates paying off a better hand (especially an "obvious" one) more than he hates losing money. BB plays pretty loose pre-flop and tight-passive postflop. Pre-flop: everyone folds to button who raises, hero calls in SB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], BB calls. Flop: 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players, 6 SB) hero checks, BB checks, button bets, hero check-raises, BB folds, button calls. Turn: 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players, 5 BB) hero bets, button raises... How's the line until here, and what now? |

Re: turn raise by the weak-tighty
I'd three bet preflop almost always here, then lead the flop and hope to take it there or on the turn. Any reason you didn't?

[/ QUOTE ] I guess I wasn't sure if I could get it heads-up with a 3-bet - BB seemed like the kind of guy that would call 2 more if he was going to call 1 more. I didn't really want to be OOP in a bloated pot with Q high and be basically forced to bet the flop and turn. I was very on the fence, though. Given my PF call, what do you think of the rest of the hand? |
