BEAT: pacific tells me my poker and casino accounts have zero funds.
So here's the story. I deposited about $300 into a pacific poker account and $50 into a 888 casino account in late 2005. They were having a good deposit bonus, so i decided to play some, see how the games were, and work off the bonus. I didnt fare so well off the start though, and stopped playing there when my account went down to about $150. I completly forgot about the account when all the other sites were closing to US players, but remember that I still had money on there today. So I e-mailed them to receive my lost password, and they said they couldn't give it to me because they closed play for all US players. I told them I had no intentions to play, just to cash out. They told me both the poker and casino accounts are at zero.
In my latest e-mail to them, I told them that this was somehow wrong and asked them these questions. 1) Does pacific ever close and retrieve the funds from a dormant account? If so, is this what happened to me? 2) When was the last time there was any action on the account? 3)Where there ever any withdrawls from the account? 2 and 3 will help me check if someone besides me used my account and lost/withdrew all my money. 1 seems unlikely (to my naive self of course) but wouldnt surprise me because ive heard of pokerrooms doing some things like this before. I'm not too optimistic about getting my funds back, and the money isnt crucial to me, but in the same sense, would be nice to have back. Is there anything I can do to improve my chances with Pacific? I haven't really gotten angry over the situation because I think it's basically my own fault for forgetting about the account, but will be frustrated if pacific doesnt give me straight answers. |

This was mentioned in the reply.
Once your account is inactive for six months a 10% Fee will be taken off the balance that is in the account. This will happen until the account reaches Zero. Anyone know if this is standard procedure among all websites? Did I agree to this in the terms and agreements? |
