NT! is going to enjoy this one.

Also, I saw this on CNN, but I guess Man U gets like 40 kids a year that are this age range for their youth teams, this kid being on youtube seems to be the only big difference.

Standard. Major European soccer clubs all have youth squads and some of them go pretty far down age-wise.

An article that I read says that manchester signs about 40 kids(different ages) a year to one year contracts(no amount stated). After one year they weed out the kids that haven't improved and go and find more with potential. I'm sure fans of Man. can add more. The kid was good, though.

The part where he got knocked down twice and kept the ball both times was nuts. Granted he was playing against other 9-year-olds (presumably) but still.

I grew up with a guy who ended up playing in the MLS. At age 9, he was so far ahead of the rest of the class athletically it was ridiculous. He was doing the 50 yard dash nearly a second faster than everyone else and had a standing vertical 6-12 inches higher than the highest guy in the class. And, of course, he was much better at soccer than anyone else (one guy who transferred to my school in 5th grade was close, though. He ended up playing Div I soccer in the ACC.)

I'm sure that if youtube was around back then, his highlight videos would have been nearly as amazing.

Meh, little kids doing stepovers in a league where (I believe) slide tackling isn't allowd. Who cares, plus its ManU, [censored].
