Default Great idea for a new poker movie! *LONG*

One week after his 18th birthday, Rick gathers every penny to his name (roughly $3000), packs his bags and hops on a plane bound for Las Vegas.

Armed with only his fake I.D. and a big ol' pair of balls, Rick sets out to become the greatest No Limit Hold Em player the world has ever seen.

After paying for his plane ticket, first month's rent and security deposit our hero is left with close to $1500. This doesn't bother Rick though. He knows he's greater than anybody that's ever played the game.

It takes some time, but, he's finally able to find a casino who's security is stupid enough to let him use his fake I.D.

Bing Bango! "This is it!" He thinks to himself. "The poker world will finally feel my true power!"

Rick makes a B-Line for the $1/$2 No Limit tables. "Let the domination begin!"

Six hours and three buy-ins later, Rick, finally decides to call it a day. "Idiots! Donkeys! I can't believe how [censored] stupid these sausages are!" He furiously screams as he walks out. "How is this possible?? Everybody at the table has a [censored] horse shoe shoved up their ass! These people have no idea who they're messing with!"

However, tomorrow is a new day and Rick knows that no amount of luck can fade his greatness.

He returns the next day only to lose more. "Piece of [censored]!" Rick screams in the face of the donkey who stacked him after calling a $20 preflop raise with 56 suited and flopping a straight to Rick's pocket Kings.

Furious Rick leave's again.

The next couple of weeks, Rick does have some winning sessions, however, the losers out-weigh the winners and Rick soon finds himself down to his last $200.

Forsaking food, Rick decides to buy in light so he can play at least twice more if needed.... and it is. He loses faster than ever. Instead of leaving and coming back clear headed he slaps down his last $100. Deciding to play tight only proves to delay the inevitable as his dreams of fame and fortune get shipped across the table.

Again Rick leaves furious. This time he's practically jogging. He doesn't want anybody to see him cry.

He returns to his one bedroom apartment sobbing the whole way. He sits on the floor in the dark. He has no furniture, no bed, no car, no friends, and no money. His only possessions are pain, sadness, and disappointment.

"There's no way I'm getting a job. It's not [censored] happening. What am I going to do?"

Sitting alone. Crying.

"Okay. This is it. I always said I was going to kill myself if I couldn't win at poker." Rick whimpers, talking to himself aloud. "It's time."

He finds the strength to stand and walk into the kitchen to get a knife to cut his wrists. But wait! Rick doesn't have a knife. He doesn't even have a spoon. No silverware at all. He never bought any when got out to Vegas. He'd been eating at the casino every night. "[censored]."

His mind races. "How am I going to end my miserable existence?"

No sleeping pills, no alcohol, no gun, no rope and no money to buy any. He resorts to attempting to choke himself. This only leads to him passing out.

He thinks, "If I didn't live on the first floor I could jump off the balcony. WHY GOD?! WHY?!!"

Months later and eviction eminent, desperation leads Rick to turn to prostitution to get rent money. One night he's badly beaten and robbed by one of his Johns. All of his money and his fake I.D. is gone. Now even if he were to suck enough dicks to build a roll he'll never be able to get into the casino.

It seems Rick is doomed to walk the Vegas streets selling his mouth to filthy men....

At least for the next three years.

Roll credits.

I think there could be some good sequel potential here.

Anybody wanna MSPaint some story boards?

This is a great movie idea. Hopefully you can get Leonardo Dicaprio to play Rick and Jack Nicholson to play the 56 suited suckout master. Jack always makes a great villian!
