Default 50NL: Pot control or lost value?

Villain 22/12, but over a small sample. Basically unknown.

Is this a nicely controlled pot with a 1p* hand, or is it a value opportunity missed?

If anyone advocates a turn bet or a raise on river, please talk about villain's calling range.

Fwiw, I usually bet a wee bit more on flop here ($4.75 maybe), so I'm not sure why I didn't on this occasion.

Thanks.

* Ok, I have 2p, but conterfeiting doesn't seem to me to be an issue here, so I take 1p = 2p here.

Villain coldcalled OOP. 22/12.. I wouldn't put his range as very wide here, any pair TT or under, AJ and less, maybe some suited connectors..

I bet the turn and fold to a raise though. If you can get a call from like 88 or 66 or T9 or A9.. it's worth it. If he raises, you can fold pretty easily. The 7 was a great card because it makes it really unlikely that villain has 77. I bet probably 7-8 on the turn. Not a WHOLE lot, but enough to add to the pot.

I don't raise that river as played I don't think.

Yeah, you want to protect your hand from possible draws, and get value from 8x/other overpairs/ etc.

Yeah, the board is pretty ragged so you don't really need to bet all that much to protect your hand etc.
