Default PLO8 tourny question

Your dealt 2356 double suited in fifth positioin. You decide to limp in and so does two other players plus the BB. Flop is 235. BB bets out about one third of pot and a you call, then other limer raises the pot and BB calls. What are you supposed to do here? I folded and turn was 3 river 6. I know its random and the turn and river could of totally missed me but should I have called the flop? thanks!

you fold the flop because you are drawing to 6 outs for half the pot.

Easy fold, you don't draw to half the pot, this is a bad flop for you given the low is out there and possible straights. Small mistakes in limit 08 become big mistakes in PLO8

I really hate the advice that says that hands like 2346 and 2356 should be folded pre-flop automatically. In my opinion they are very playable hands (for a raise as well), depending of course upon the circumstances, and it doesn't take a ton of skill to play them post-flop.

Calling a bet with a flop of 235, however, does not demonstrate any such skill.

yeah 23xx by itself is playable in PL if you can get in cheaply pf.

if you hit an Axx flop with 2+ low cards you can make a ton, i've had a hand like 235x and the flop was A48, pretty good situation.

I don't mind playing this hand when stacks are 100BB deep, since you have some chance of freerolling/quartering someone else with a wheel or 23xx, if you are lucky and get an ideal setup. But in a tourney setting where you're normally much shallower this is too speculative a hand and I would fold preflop.
And the flop is a fold. Even if there were no straight or flush possible, three pair on an all low board is a bad situation. With a possible straight, easy fold.

Note that there was no stack size info provided in the OP. Thus, my disagreement with "fold preflop" in a vacuum.
