open to suggestion pre or post flop but on the flop and turn especially

on the flop I checked hoping to induce an opportunity for me to CR the pot...bc I feel if I just lead out a flush draw calls me w/ little hesitation...but If I CR the pot there is a chance for me to win it right there..If my opponent calls thats ok bc I have the nuts at this point...

On the turn I feel I am still in the lead bc I put my opponent on a flush draw...but my opponent now having a str8 in this spot is a concern...thanks in advance for your help

i think its fine. the turn could have helped him here, but i dont think you can get away from this hand anyway with just one psb left.

The reason I dont like the c/r is because you commit yourself to bet the turn, even though a combo str8 draw flush draw is a bigger concern than naked flush draw. Additionally, c/r creates a pot large enough that villian has reason to bluff the str8 if you ever check the A, Q, T, 9 that makes a str8 on the board. Given the low blind levels early in the tourney, I would advise pot control on the flop. Given the strat you took on the flop, you were committed when any non heart hit on turn.

so you would suggest just leading out on the flop...bc I can't give my opponent a free card in this spot... how would you play the turn w/ given you kept the pot smaller

Probably 3/4 pot. A check is too weak, 3/4 of a pot lets you fold to reraises, but deters bluffing from flush draws. Given the river card, I would check. I dont know of many worse hands that will call a river bet. Btw, if villian raise your flop bet, everyone would probably tell you to shove.
