$22 ($10kg) 5th hand. Presented in stages, How to play it?
5th hand so no reads, Utg limper has played no hands. I will present the hand in stages. What is your first move here?

I make it at least 80, probably 100-120 this early though.

Re: $22 ($10kg) 5th hand. Presented in stages, How to play it?
With AK or QQ- I agree to make it t100 or greater, but here we're not that scared of action. The small blind should still fold it down, and if the BB wants to come along for the extra 60, more power to him. If I got two players along for the ride, I'd just have to be absolutely sure to close out any draws on the flop.

Re: $22 ($10kg) 5th hand. Presented in stages, How to play it?
I did not know whether to raise to t80 and pray for a re-raise, and risk going to the flop 4way, or raise to t100 and hope utg gets a long for the ride. But you all agree on raising to t80, or do some feel we should raise to t100/t120?

I don't think either plan is horrible at this point. I'm comfortable raising to t80 here because we have the nuts, but there's nothing wrong with making it t100 if you like. I wouldn't go as high as t120 though.

Re: $22 ($10kg) 5th hand. Presented in stages, How to play it?
Ok I dont think this is interensting so I will get to next stage. I did want to build a pot preflop so I bet t100 but then things got interesting. What is your next move?

Re: $22 ($10kg) 5th hand. Presented in stages, How to play it?
Whatever is standard for you. It doesn't look as though you've raised limpers yet so whatever you you usually do. Doesn't make much difference if it's t80 or t100 at this point. I make it t100 because that's my standard raise over 1 limper this early.
Edit: I suck at playing with stacks this deep. 4-betting really defines your range but since I don't play $20's I don't really know how easily people will stack off here. You have position so I call and see what he does on the flop. |

Re: $22 ($10kg) 5th hand. Presented in stages, How to play it?
bump, no other comment on the new scenario where utg limp/re-raised us and we have one player left to act? If we call we might go to the flop 3way, but 4betting really narrows our ranges so what is the best play?

Re: $22 ($10kg) 5th hand. Presented in stages, How to play it?
I usually only go to 80 PF and hope for a re-raise.
And we got one...I'd raise it again. Maybe even a (OMG) min-raise. I'd go from somewhere between t800-t1000. I think its small enough that he might shove over the top but big enough that stacks are probably getting in at some point if he just calls. |
