Aren't there a few really mind blowing US history books that would definitley not be taught in high school? Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Howard Zinn-People's History of the United States

Edit: Oops, a little late. It just goes to show that this is a really good read.

That book is not so hot.

Hi, I'm 'Cardo, and I might as well be a detailed U. S. History book. What would you like to know?

EDIT: WTF, [censored] guids is flogging that Communist tract? The world has gone mad. (I don't have much of a political axe to grind; I just don't think much of the book.)

The only thing though, like one of those reviewers said, is that you need to know the basicas of us history, if not I view it "propaganda". But if you know what you were taught in school, and have the ability to put both aspects side by side, and be able to compare them and figure the cause/effect of a lot of the stuff, it is a must read.

im ripped.
