Default 200NL - QQ in the BB with an UTG raise

UTG here was tight - 9/5/1 over 100 hands. The other guy is pretty irrelevant. Apart from raising more PF (I meant to type in 34), what is best line on flop?

No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $1/$2 Blinds - 9 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

Hero (SB): $195.00
BB: $196.05
UTG: $235.00
UTG+1: $158.80
MP1: $141.20
MP2: $36.95
MP3: $246.65
CO: $223.20
BTN: $77.80

Preflop: Hero is dealt Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (9 Players)
UTG raises to $8.00, UTG+1 folds, MP1 folds, MP2 calls $8.00, MP3 folds, CO folds, BTN folds, Hero raises to $24.00, BB folds, UTG calls $16.00, MP2 raises all-in to $36.95, Hero calls $12.95, UTG calls $12.95

I would have never 3-bet here preflop vs. a 9/5 UTG raiser.

hard to advise you what to do on the flop. But the fact that there is no bluffing equity and you have no diamond, due to the allin player, I like a check-fold on this flop.

If you are going to raise preflop (and I just call vs. tight UTG raiser) and there is a possibility of a short stack pushing all in, I never bet enough so that if UTG calls my raise and short stack pushes, I don't have the option to reraise.

Here you bet 24, a raise of 16. Short stack goes in for 36.95, a "raise" of 12.95. Since it is not a full raise of 16, you have no option to reraise.

Had you bet 22, a raise of 14, then the short stack push would have been a raise of 14.95, allowing you to repop and force UTG out and get heads up v. short stack with $22 in dead money.

So, raising to 24 instead of 22 was your first mistake.

As played, there is nothing in the side pot. If UTG has an overpair to the board, there is a 50% chance he has a diamond. If he has AK, there is a 7/16 chance he has a diamond.

I think you have to bet to see if he is scared by the diamonds. If you get called, you have to shut down if an Ace, King, four or diamond hits, and possibly a jack or ten too.
