Default Facing 2bets PF with pocket nines

BT is 46/5.5/0.4 and BB is 44/16/1.5

Limit: $0.50/$1
6 players
Converter

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is UTG+1 with 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
UTG folds, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises</font>, CO calls, <font color="#cc0000">Button 3-bets</font>, SB folds, <font color="#cc0000">BB caps</font>, Hero folds...

do you fold right there PF like I did, or do you see the Flop?

I like the fold in limit. theres just too much implied odds in nl.

meh, you have good implied odds here too. plus you are getting 6:1, and CO will come along 99% of the time giving you 7:1.

call given you realize that without a 9, or some sort of draw it is an easy c/fold.

dont you think we are quite likely against a better pocket pair here, either from BT or BB?

BT is not 3betting unless he has a very strong hand, I'd say AQ or better pocket pair than 99, and this other guy capping out from the BB is not good either.

I'll be probably wrong but I think we are drawing to two outs most of the time here and we dont have the odds.

we want them to have a big pair, because that's when our implied odds are at their best. at this point we're playing for a set, and with the odds we're getting + implied, it's enough.

You are basically getting just over 5:1 on a call... your odds of flopping a set are 7.5:1. You can definately make up the extra 2.5 bets postflop given the action. Just remember you are playing fit or fold on the flop, if BB leads out into you, you will have to fold even if you have an overpair.

Note, if villians' stats were different - and the cap didn't come from the BB, which represents a very strong holding, you may try to get to showdown as cheap as possible.

Also, be aware of how many hands you have on these guys, make sure it's over a decent sample

CALL CALL CALL CALL CALL CALL CALL CALL CALL!

I think you should call.

CO is going to call. Button is going to call. That makes 7-1 on your money preflop. Call, flop a set, win $.

A lot of the time it is going to be worth seeing the turn for one bet if you can, trying to catch your two-outer. Chase chase chase it like the fishies do. In this case they are right.

Guy.
