Default Do the deep stack nano\'s give me a bigger edge?

Hi, I've noticed that .1/.2 PLO on stars is 250 bb's buyin, .2/.5 is 200 bb's deep and .5/.10 + is only 100 deep.

How does this effect the edge I have over the average player/donkey?

No, it's still only 5%. And actually, because since so many pots will be under $1, the average rake percentage is lower than at the next few levels up (PLO 25 to 100).

Also, the play down there is absolutely horrid. It's been a long time since I played there regularily but I have had winrates on the order of more than 100 ptBB/100 over several thousand hands at 1/2 cent when I occasionaly slum it. Almost certainly not susyainable, but the sustainable rate must be much higher than 10 ptBB/100.

People at those limits suck as it is, but yeah it helps your edge.

I've been monkeying around at those stakes, and even playing like 60/40/x over a couple of thousand hands, I still do way better than 50BB/100.

I should add that most players down there have no concept of the freeroll. Almost all of them will stack off with 56xx on a 478 2-tone flop, with no re-draws, in a limped pot, with 250+BB, no matter what the action.

I'm pretty sure that this (along with the usual domainated sets, striaghts, flushes, and boats) represents a huge fraction of your edge and the main reason why these gigantic winrates are feasable.

You need $8 pots ($20 once the BB gets to $4) to get FPPs. These are really rare (but extremely profitable in therms of BBs) at anything below the 0.10 tables.

From my recent database, hands/FPP (NOT including bonuses) at various levels at PokerStars are:

Big Blind = 0.02, hands/FPP = 210 *
Big Blind = 0.05, hands/FPP = 17 *
Big Blind = 0.10, hands/FPP = 7.8
Big Blind = 0.25, hands/FPP = 3.8
Big Blind = 0.50, hands/FPP = 2.3
Big Blind = 1.00, hands/FPP = 1.4
Big Blind = 2.00, hands/FPP = 0.86
Big Blind = 4.00, hands/FPP = 0.86 *
Big Blind = 6.00, hands/FPP = 0.68 *
Big Blind = 10.0, hands/FPP = 0.58 **

* indicates: less than 1000 hands at this level
