WtSD Stats

Hi,
I am another limit convert.
I was wondering how high (or low, respectively) the WtSD stats should be in NL.
My last 10k hands indicate 20% which is probably too high for NL.
I saw other players stats with numbers as low as 5% WtSD. Isnt that way too low implying a fit/fold approach?

I never really saw the point to the stat anyway. If it is too high, what change should you make? Are you paying off too much with marginal hands, not being aggresive enough with good ones or bluffing less than you should? FWIW I run 25% but I'm prolly a POW.

Well, WtDS is not a stat you can really look at in isolation. You have to look at it along with other stats too, and get a feel for how they interact.

For example, if you go to showdown too often, two other things could happen. Your W%SD will go down, and your BB/100 will go down too. Part of the solution is to simply not show down as often.

I have 25% and still well over 50% W$SD (just not this month, running bad with 38% [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] ). This has to do with my style at my current level as well as with table selection. I often check the turn behind successfully indicing bluffs when others would 2nd barrel. The 2nd barrel styles are not better or worse per se. They get their value by different means but they naturally have a lower WTSD if everything else is similar.
