beat #2: we drove the marathon route the other day and it took 45 minutes in a car

variance: i seriously might die during this (6'1", 220)

what am i supposed to wear during this? i was thinking about a pokerstars jersey (WSOP TEAM 06) but that thing is heavy.

True story...in 1994, on Halloween, I told everyone I'd run the 1995 L.A. Marathon (run on March 5, four months hence). I am 5' 9" and about 220....but not really overweight that much. I was teaching High School and went to the cross country coach to find out how to train (he'd run over a dozen marathons). He told me to NOT run it under any circumstances, due to my body type. I told him I'd get down to about 190 (which I did), but he said I still had the wrong frame and that training would destroy my ankles and knees. I ran 7 miles a day for four months and ran the marathon (finished in 4:27). Why so slow? I destoryed my ankles and knees. Also, DEFINITELY band-aid your nips and vaseline your crotch. Also, moleskin on the balls of your feet. Plus, you get to tell people forever that you ran a marathon. Go for it.

yeah, definitely planning on that. i have a nike sphere drifit shirt but that thing is going to chafe my [censored] right off, but hopefully the bandaids will minimize that
