Stars Checks Hard to Cash?

I just got a check from stars and it was pretty hard to cash. The teller had to make two phone calls and then call over a manager. Anyone else have this happen? Who the hell could they be calling?

how did you survive such a difficult ordeal? that sounds so incredibly hard. i can not imagine anything more difficult. how did you manage to get through something so hard?

It wasn't easy, but just curious to why they made a big deal over it.

I was able to cash a stars check about 2 months ago without a problem but maybe today its a little harder? Im not sure bc I dont play anymore but I know where you are coming from my man. I think these days you have to accept the risk that theres a chance you will not get paid. I have been reading about a lot of problems on this site. If youre a hardcore player you probably will accept the risks and keep playing but the average player like myself dosent want to bother with it anymore.

I dont know how they would think its fake. Are the stars checks still from a US bank? I know mine was. The only thing that was "different" was that it had a BS company name instead of pstars on it for obvious reasons. Does stars use the same bs company name on all checks and banks are now looking for that name?

Since its from a US bank I dont see how they could think anything was out of the ordinary unless they look for particular "bs company" names. Did you have enough in your bank account to cover the check? Did your name exactly match the name on the check? I am just trying to figure out what could even raise a red flag here...
