Default Potawatami (Milwaukee) One-Hour Dinner Break Rule

At Potawatami, there is a rule that players can inform the floor that they are going on a break and they get to keep their chips on the table and come back within one hour. Or at least that is how it was explained to me.

Now, I don't mind it at hold em, as the players are loose enough that there is still plenty of action if two seats are empty, but I was playing in an omaha/8 game where three seats were gone, killing the action. It didn't help that the bad players were the ones who left so that instead of five- and six-way raised pots, I now faced three-way limped pots.

Do any other casinos have rules like this?

They usually don't let more than one or two players take a one-hour dinner break at the same time ... and often times, players on the waiting list are allowed to 'play over' the MIA player until they get back.

This is very common.

they have the "3rd man walking" rule there. so, only 2 people at a time can be on a lunch break. since O8 isn't that popular at the Pot (usually only 1 table going), you're are going to be SOL action-wise at somepoint during the night.
