breaking into i banking HELP

Graduated three years ago with a B.A. in economics. Directly out of school helped my friend start up a flooring business, got sucked into that, so it goes. I am now fed up career wise and want to pursue my original goals in the world of i banking. I've had zero success online, e.g. careerbuilder and monster, as well as applying directly to banks online. Am i screwed due to my work background? How do i get my foot in the door?

i was in the same boat. you're going to have to take a [censored] starting position at as a teller/banker.

Just know when to stop, I understand most get caught because they get greedy and are eventually caught.
