what are the odds of any player being dealt a pocket pair at a 6 handed table?

i guess its (roughly) the chance of one player getting a pp multiplied with 6, although i dont know if you have to consider all the other cards that are dealt too.

p=(3/51)*6=0.3529

Very accurate approximation:

1 - (1 - 6*13/1326)^6 =~ 30.49%.

Exact answer by the inclusion-exclusion principle:

=~ 30.44%.

See this post for details on these 2 methods. Set X=6 for 6 players.

I'm wondering if the semantics of probability may be an issue here. To me the OP could mean the (1)odds of "any one player" or the (2)odds of "exactly one player" or the (3)odds of "one or more players" being dealt a pocket pair. Of course we know that each has a different answer.

Iam not a native speaker, but "any player" means one or more player to me.
