WSOP - Event #2 Casino Employees MTT Strategy

Hope this is in the right forum and I hope this isnt regarded as a stupid post.

Background of Tourney - $500 buy-in. 2K starting chips, 1Hr blinds.

25/50, 50/100, 100/200, 100/200 (25), 150/300 (25), 200/400 (50)

Last yr - 1,232 players. 1st took 127K

Background on me - I consider myself a pretty good tourney player. Alot better than average, maybe avg to slightly above avg among serious tourney players. I've experienced some success in home game tournies (50-60 max), sng's and MTT's online, and the Sahara's, Caesars, and Venetians (final tabling a few times)

I'm a TAG player. I try to mix it up and the LAG comes out when i acquire some chips.


Strategy Questions -

WOuld you play more LAG with 40 starting BB's? To go against this point, with the hour blinds, i probably can be patient for the 1st 4 levels.

I have never played in a live tourney with more than 150 players. Obviously the goal is accumulating chips, but i just dont know if i need to play more TAG to be successful.

I hope this isnt too vague but any advice is appreciated.

Just adjust to your table, its really hard to say a basic strat.
