Default Sets

Does anyone know about how often sets are supposed to hold up over a really large sample of hands? When I say "set", I mean that you hold two of the three cards in your hand. The reason I'm asking is because I had 18% of my sets busted this month, which seems pretty high, but I have no clue.

Well...

Text results appended to pokerstove.txt

18,781,682 games 31.547 secs 595,355 games/sec

Board: 2d
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 07.230% 07.02% 00.21% 1317937 40116.50 { random }
Hand 1: 92.770% 92.57% 00.21% 17386181 40116.50 { 22 }

This will tend to be low though because players tend to play suited hands, connected hands and pairs more then other hands.

I will check my results when I get home. how are you filtering your stats to isolate pocket pairs where you hit sets?

this is really sick because if you can't win with sets you are BLEEDING money. worst ways to run bad:

- lose with sets
- lose with flushes
- lose with straights
- lose with overpairs
- lose with connected AK
- repeatedly whiff with AK

I haven't checked my stats but I know I've lost over 50% with trips at UB this month. Have also lost 5-6 times with A high flushes to runner runner boats and have lost my share of FH this month to river 2 outers.....okay enough ranting but it makes for a long month when you don't win big pots with trips, straights, flushes , and boats.
