Do big underground sewers like in Ninja Turtles actually exist?
I've always wondered this. I know there's gotta be some kind of pipes down there, but in major cities are there actually 8' diameter pipes that you can walk around in? And do manholes lead to such pipes? Has anyone in here actually gone down a manhole?

Could you imagine running into a ninja turtle in one of those things? Probably a good idea to take a can of turtle food down with you as a peace offering of sorts.
