3+.25 45man Turbo - Help Me Gain Some Chips
I was doing really well in this tourney. At one point I was 2nd with about 21. I was running over the table at one point, knocking out 3 people within like 4-5 hands.
My problem though is later in the tournament when the blinds are high compared to the stacks. I really suck at "Push Poker," but even worse at "Call-a-raise Poker." Poker Stars No Limit Holdem Tournament Blinds: t300/t600 (Ante: t50) 6 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: t5775 UTG+1: t8102 CO: t3050 Button: t2020 Hero: t3720 BB: t13128 Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is SB with 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] UTG raises to t2400, 3 folds, Hero raises all-in t3670 Villain is 61.9/19.05 over 21 hands. Is this basically a no-brainer? Also, the lesson I want to take from this thread is, "How do I become more aggressive later in the tourney?" I want to be able to build a stack like the best players, but I feel like I am way too tight. So if you could put it into your own words, however you can say it, I would appreciate it. Thanks. |

Re: 3+.25 45man Turbo - Help Me Gain Some Chips
Well, at first I was going to say this is a fold...then I saw villain's stats. Easy easy shove.
BTW, these turbos are very profitable, although a bit high variance. The key to these are sound STT principles of push-botting. There isn't really opportunity to "build" a big stack. Eventually, you just have to keep open-shoving until you get one. Send me a PM with your e-mail and I'll send you a couple of wins/2nd places if that would be helpful. Sherman |

Fine spot to take a gamble with that stack size IMO
