For the NY City food OOT people.
My girlfriend and I will be in the city next friday, saturday and sunday. I want to take her to a nice place on saturday night. I know i'll need to make a reservation today or tomorrow so I am asking for some descent suggestions. I don't want to spend more than $300 total as hopefully the Sabre/Rangers will go to a game 6 and i'll need extra funds for 2 tickets to that game. Doesn't need to be a mainstream, trendy place. Almost rather go to a killer unknown but great establishment.

They just increased their prices. It used to be $3 for two dogs and a drink. It's now closer to $4. wtf. Also, OP, there are about 50 thread similar to this one. |

u,
For $300 total dinner for two you can eat pretty much anywhere. Pick a style of food and go to opentable.com. If the restaurant website doesn't have a menu, yuo can find it at menupages.com. |

Blue Ribbon (and any other good restaurant that doesn't take reservations) is going to be a madhouse on a Saturday night. citysearch.com is a good resource for finding good places. Their review pages often have links allowing you to make reservations at opentable.com.

[/ QUOTE ] I went there when they first opened, and it was pretty good. Its a nice space, and the food/martinis were good. |
