I think playing w/ a short bankroll isn't as bad for the recreational player, as it may be for a pro who would be fooling around w/ their livelihood. But if you're an amateur and don't mind the loss, it's not as big of a deal. Or you could compromise and go 100BBs at 3/6, if you lose it, then drop to 1/2 where you have another 200BBs. So that's 300BBs all together. This is Andy B's attitude in the Stud forum and it applies to all poker. Unless you absolutely can't risk going broke, don't be so afraid to take a shot. Just move down when it's time to move back down. |
